At Sittingsuits we take our responsibility seriously, and try to implement sustainable solutions at every step. As part of our Nordic DNA, this is a natural choice and we will continue to improve on all parameters.
The padding for all our garments are made from 100% post-consumer recycled plastic bottles, which has been transformed into new fibers.
This means we do not produce any new padding: thus saving energy, water and resources. We hope that all of our materials will be 100% recycled in the future.
All of our fabrics have been tested for harmful chemicals.
Whenever possible, we use recycled or recyclable packaging for our shipments. All webshop orders are shipped off in locally produced recycled plastic bags.
Sittingsuits are designed to last. For restaurants, who would previously be discarding huge amounts of blankets and implementing, soon-to-be-banned, outdoor patio heaters in the colder seasons, Sittingsuits are the sustainable choice! Wet Sittingsuits air-dry within minutes. No tumble dry is ever necessary.
We urge our customers to donate their used and discarded Sittingsuits to suitable charities, such as refugee camps and homeless shelters, to prolong the usage time.
