THE COLLABORATION

EACH TO THEIR OWN SILENCE

The title Enhver sin stilhedEach to their own silence — suggests something inward and individual: a private space that can be carried even while moving through the world.

For Artist Edition #14, Martin Bigum’s painting becomes a limited wearable artwork, moving from canvas to textile and from wall to body. The work enters changing light, weather and everyday situations that are rarely part of an artwork’s original life.

THE ARTWORK

ENHVER SIN STILHED, TRANSLATED INTO FORM

The artwork opens into a light blue space where flowers and faces move through the composition. Across the Sittingsuit surface, that visual world surrounds the wearer rather than remaining at a distance.

The edition reflects Bigum’s interest in allowing art to communicate widely without losing the integrity of the original work. Artist Edition #14 was produced as a limited edition of 100 pieces.
